About Kristen

Kristen LaMarca PhD is a clinical psychologist with expertise in applied psychophysiology and behavioral treatments for sleep disorders, notably insomnia and nightmares. She currently practices at Lucidity Sleep Psychiatry, a sleep medicine group in Southern California.

 

Dr. LaMarca specializes in Lucid Dreaming Therapy for a broad range of psychological conditions. She has published research on the lucidigenic effects of cholinergic stimulation, and an integrated protocol for maximizing the efficacy of lucid dream induction techniques. She has been a cofacilitator for the Lucidity Institute’s intensive programs since 2010, and regularly provides trainings in lucid dreaming to healthcare professionals, researchers, and the wider community.

 

In teaching others to lucid dream, she blends her wealth of personal and clinical experience with her expertise in the science of induction and human learning. As an avid practitioner of lucid dreaming for almost 15 years, she continues to find much inspiration and reward not only from her personal practice, but by helping others to nurture their own lucid dreams.
